Just one look at you

Just one look at you

A Poem by Simone Davis
"

Bitter and twisted- Feeling pretty s****y, everyone I know has it perfect. Perfect job, perfect family perfect life.

"
Pain soars through my veins
Just one look at you
Blood boils through my skin
Just one look at you
My heart burns with anger
Just one look at you
Words sound like poison
Just one look at you

Your smile angers me
Just one look at you
Your perfect family cripples me
Just one look at you
Your kindness makes me sick
Just one look at you

Yep you guessed it I envy you.

You have drawn a vivid picture of how ENVY can poison someone's outlook. As a person (me) who had some successes in life, many people looked at me from afar & assumed I had it easy. They never knew about constant abuse or how I clawed my way thru constant depression. It's so true, as told powerfully in your poem, that such assumptions feel damaging on BOTH sides of a situation! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

All of us wear a mask at times to hide what's going on behind the smile. Just maybe your life isn't as wretched by comparison. You have to make the most of each situation, envy will eat away at you

Not everything is what it might at first seem to be, and rarely are folk as happy or contented as they would like folk to think they are... ya just got to make the most of what ya got... Good luck.... Neville
