Through the Storm

Through the Storm

A Poem by Simone Davis

My poem.

Gasping for breath, fingers clenched tightly. Your heart pulses. You body stiffens. Eyes wide open,

You try to speak but words don't come out, assasperated you try to breath. You sit quitly silently praying, you hear the echo of your heart pulsating, you listen to the roaring clangs of thunder. Trembling with emotion you tightly clasp your duvet.

Darkness falls around you, strobes of light burst through the sky. The rain begins to pour.

Eyes begin to weeken, drifting through the storm.
