Autumn

Autumn

A Poem by Simone Davis
"

A ppem about colours that AUtumn brings

"
The glorious flamed coloured leaves rustle at my feet
My eyes trace their DNA
Beautiful individual magical colours
Glisten at my feet

The rain slithers elegently down the leaves
Blood rushes through their veins
The colour drains from the surface
Slowly changing
Growing older

Autumn is my personal favorite season. In my opinion it is the most beautiful time of the year and you captivated that. I love the second line, "My eyes trace their DNA".. What a great choice of describing their ending of life. Reading this kind of saddens me knowing that Autumn is almost already over and it's going to be another year. Good job!

I love all the poems that autumn inspires, they almost inevitably come with insights into our own lives, as well as the world. An eloquent poem, love this piece of poetry. Thanks for sharing ^^
