The Outer EdgeA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
The Outer Edge
The outer edge is where they live Still watching as we take and give One day the world will change for good And then too late for 'could' or 'would' A time to think on who we are The times we failed or went too far And then to start with something new Before our dreams slide out of view We're all the same within this place Don't be afraid to show your face And if you are, then heed these words You're weaker than the bees and birds For whom may words like this have use? Who knows? At times they're far too loose But leave the toys, no time to hedge They're coming from the outer edge (c) Simon J. Halliday 2014 http://www.mysteriousbooks.co.uk © 2014 Simon J Halliday |
