The TrainA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
The Train
Don't be a fool and miss the train It will not pass this way again So jump aboard and take this ride Your future now is open wide And yet beware with such a mind For searchers, in the end, will find What can be done by those who know? The burden now can never go A world of beauty and of vice One man eats cake, one hopes for rice And 'powers' we know one day will fall Still play their game, no doubts at all Let us then in our faith be true Let's hope each day for something new Respecting old ways, wanting more We're on the train - what lies in store?
