The Lofty Mind

The Lofty Mind

The lofty mind will never see
Could never care for you or me
It's dancing on a summer breeze
Whilst winter brings its deepest freeze

What are they for, these minds of air?
The struggle never did seem fair
Can any honest person say
Their life was helped by such a way

And yet, all have their role to play
Who knows what hides beyond this day?
The bitter truth you learned to hate
May hide some light which lies in wait

Be brave then, for this life is ours
We'll live through stormy winter showers
And something great we'll later find
Don't judge too quick the lofty mind
