What May Come?

What May Come?

A Poem by Simon J Halliday

What May Come?

Faith we'll need, for what may come?
No man on earth can know the sum
Of all that comes and goes each hour
And what's behind the veil of power

For what more can we ask of all
Than 'do your best' to heed your call
Who has the mind of perfect love?
For this we need to look above

Yet even here we have the chance
To make some plans and take a stance
And in our lives we can find ways
To overcome the darkest days

So let's not fret or be unwise
For much is here for searching eyes
But simple joy's enough for some
Let's have great faith in what may come

This is very beautiful piece. I just want to let you know that I enjoyed reading it. Following 8 syllables count the rhythmic flow is superb
