Priceless

Priceless are some kindly words
Or a flock of strange rare birds
Travelling out to foreign places
Seeing hope in struggling faces

Moving far beyond the norm
Pushing boundaries through the storm
Despite the pressures and the doubts
You carry on amidst their shouts

For endless ways the world will try
To take away the route you'll fly
When clearly you have plotted well
You're on the launchpad - what the hell

Take flight and do the things you must
The things we buy will come to dust
And so will we, eventually
So seek what's priceless, then you'll see

Great form, rhyme and rhythm to this poem. I love "For endless ways the world will try To take away the route you'll fly" - yes, determination to carry on against all odds. I found those lines really inspirational. Your final stanza holds a truth that everything accrued in this life is worthless in the end and it's all about the differences we make in the lives of others, as well as our own lives. The word "priceless" says it all. Great writing. Justine :)
