AgeA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
Age
Age will come to all who live We should be asking what we'll give For as we give then we receive As time goes on we learn to believe The wisdom that is hidden from youth Is hard to find because it's truth That everything's important here Each thought and word, each hope and fear And seeing through the tricks that play There's not much new from day to day Don't be surprised at what is known For most was done before we'd grown Each generation needs to learn They're not the first to have their turn And eager, lively souls which come Will need some help, or could be glum For in the world which thinks it knows Live secrets, lies and countless woes So when we see some youthful rage Let's hope some kindness comes with age (c) Simon J.
