On The EdgeA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
On The Edge
So many living on the edge Now teetering on a narrow ledge And looking down to the abyss Still not aware of what they'll miss Another day of change is near Hang on some more, defeat your fear For endless are the chances now Let goodness come, don't question how So tragic when the devil wins We stand amazed each time he grins But don't waste time with that, my friend The devil's time will swiftly end Then look beyond and see what's real Illusion dies and faith can heal And truth which lived here all along Can rise again and bring its song Remember, then, you can't look down The only way is up, my clown For better days now make your pledge And stop this living on the edge (c) Simon J.
