Happiness BreedsA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's PoemHappiness Breeds Some days may seem dead and cold No more to life than getting old Yet one who learns and daily reads Will come to know that happiness breeds Within each line a new surprise And multiplying alibis When thought police come and quiz your mind Surprise them with the dreams they'll find For strains of life are not all bad Some joy and hope we all have had And often just a word will bring Those happy times of which we sing The answer to each problem lives Just turn a corner, life still gives Emerging from the dark and gloom A light of hope defies the tomb Beyond this world into the next The human mind is ever vexed But take just one from all these seeds Remember this - that happiness breeds (c) Simon J.
