Be YourselfA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
Be Yourself
Who are we if not ourselves We're not like toys upon the shelves Our thoughts and dreams mean more by far So be yourself, it's who you are The world will try to change you fast And many agents work to cast You have the chance to say 'no way' You see the game but will not play And then when left outside the door You're wondering what life holds in store Another chance for them to strike For boredom is just what they like So be on guard, for all is real You must discern each glittering deal The tricks are endless as the days And rest assured they've devious ways Yet none of this should make you cry It's one more chance to say goodbye To all those things which daily fight Your one true self you must ignite (c) Simon J.
