GratitudeA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
Gratitude
How can things move on ahead When we're not grateful, nothing's been said A simple 'thank you' from the heart Could be all that you'll need to start And when this gratitude lingers on You'll find more troubles somehow gone For focus on the good which comes Will bring still more, if only crumbs And many crumbs create a cake You'll see it if you're still awake Don't be too quick to scoff and sniff For pride is teetering on a cliff And should you fall, then what a drop! You'll look back wishing you'd learned to stop And count the blessings, no matter how small For gratitude's needed by us all (c) Simon J. Halliday 2013 For more info. on Simon J.
