The Money CycleA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
The Money Cycle
Money comes and money goes Who knows where next the money flows? Some dollars now for someone new A child is born, pass him a few And what will happen, what might this do? Is fear of money now haunting you? For money and power so often wed And power corrupts, where are we led? Don't fear! You know that life is good We learn each day, at least we should And if disturbed by greed or lack Our progress surely is held back Think freely now, outside the box Employ the cunning of a fox For money is not the god we think When faced with love its power will shrink Relax, enjoy the plans you make Some day you will be eating cake But eat too much, as well we know Then all the joy can quickly go So see the cycle from above There's never a price for joy or love And wisdom, too, seek things which last For life, as money, is moving fast (c) Simon J.
