Today's Poem

What's Beyond?

What's Beyond?  I hope you think
The answer won't be found in drink
A clear mind is what we need
So much to learn, so much to read

And choose your books with care, my friend
For one day all of this will end
The things we've stored within our soul
Will make or break each earthly goal

Fear not, for life will lend a hand
When time is right you'll understand
That every moment hides a chance
You choose to watch or choose to dance

Free will so precious and always there
It's not enough to stand and stare
There's more each day which can be done
Reach out, there's plenty to be won

The answer doesn't lie indoors
The screens have much, but info bores
And books can start you on a quest
But then move outwards, face the test

For each a different life to live
And different gifts to tend and give
Be sure to know yourself and yours
Beyond this plane?  The great outdoors...
