Work and PlayA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
Work and Play
So much to do but don't dismay A time for work, a time for play All things in time will have their place There's always chance to find some space You won't move on to where you should Unless the pace you set is good The balance is crucial, please beware An unknown demon's always there Be it stressed or lazy mind Success won't come to see this kind It waits for when the soil is rich And then arrives to make its pitch Then still there's chance to get this wrong Your chance needs claiming, just be strong For if you choose to look away Then life won't work, and none will play The time has come to claim this gift Enough has passed, no time to drift Rise up from lethargy and from doubt And work, play, learn what life's about (c) Simon J.
