RepentanceA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
Repentance
So wrong was done, where do you stand? Sometimes justice is shifting sand Were you the sinner or victim here What caused this, was it love or fear? Step back now you're not on the fence And leave the garden, this makes sense Perspective needed now for all The answer won't be in a brawl Forgiveness and a time to think Tolerant thoughts the missing link A heart that's ready to let things go So hard sometimes, yes we all know But never did bitterness help one drop And crimes with this food will not stop Be bold enough to step outside Please try, for wounds you should not hide And then when faced, a time for hope A shift in gradient on life's slope The upward struggle begins to change And help comes in, at first feels strange So if you've found what makes a man Then open-hearted form your plan Repentance and the will to thrive Will help you fly, not just survive (c) Simon J.
