The HiveA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's Poem
The Hive
Within the hive a thousand songs Of work and play, of rights and wrongs The speakers and the passers-by The ones who win, the ones who try A closer look and all is new The ones you thought were small now grew And what of those who had the power? Confusion reigns, their lives turned sour Why is the hive in disarray? Why can't these creatures find the way? A question since the dawn of time We'll live and die within this rhyme And where's the exit? Why so hard? Who will deal the winning card? The cries and blood will not give in The minds of all now believe they'll win The hive has reached the time of hope A vision must come to help us cope A vision with calm and peace to bring To save the hive, to quell the sting (c) Simon J.
