Bernice Pt. 2A Story by Simon Eckmancontinuation
Yesterday I watched The Simpsons reruns. This is my favorite show. I like Futurama too. The first episode of it is on. Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire. That's the one where they get Santa's Little Helper. It's the end.
"He's a Simpson," Homer says. I think it's really sad in a bittersweet way. Dee is here too. She doesn't like this show but it's my house and it's over now anyways. Homer Bart Maggie Marge Lisa. I list them off in my head. Dee is sitting near me with her face in a waxy magazine. It is strongly scented perfume. I bet it could go up in flames in an instant. Dee is wearing a tank top and khaki shorts and is barefoot and so am I. This is what we do. It's too hot outside. We're not talking to each other. Mom is in the kitchen, making something and I think it smells like Birthday Cake or S'mores or something that's just what it smells like can't be. My mind is drifting during the commercials. I'm glad Mom liked my hair I was worried until she got home she's pretty lenient so I'm lucky maybe we could go outside and go swim in the river where I was before mosquito bites then the smell of bug spray and sunscreen swam there lots of time when I get home from swimming anywhere I worry at night about what could've happened to me not just me but the people who go with me I wish I had a bikini instead of cutoff jeans and a sports bra hate it when people park their car near and blast the radio the sound of the river isn't good enough for you eh remembering the one time some boys and girls looked rich and screamed trailer trash white trash at me your cousin hasn't gotten you pregnant yet called Dee a n****r and a b***h and me a b***h too we didn't even know what to do thought of what to say later just stood there the both of us anyways trying to think of something to do say feeling just disappointed sometimes almost mouth the words I wanted to say to them would it even have helped just stood there sad and looked at them then looked away until they left "Dee, Bernice, wanna go to the mall?" Mom's famous quote. She liked the mall. Liked looking at the things she desired if she had the money for them. Once I tried to steal a bracelet for her when I was 14. Dee and I got banned but now new people work there so they don't recall it. "Okay," Dee and I both said. Then Mom said it'd be about an hour until she was ready to go so Dee and I went behind the house into the shed and smoked some pot. Not soon long after that Mom said she was ready to go. It wasn't really an hour but that's usually the way she does things anyways. She always says I say "anyways" too much. Other people say that too. If that's such a big problem then you really need to think about all the problems people could have. Things like that don't annoy me. You can click your pen all you want around me. Then we got into the car
