A quick glance into our souls

A quick glance into our souls

A Poem by Rachel Cooper

You looked with longing

Past my eyes and into my soul

And then you saw the true me

The me that looked with longing

Past your eyes and into your soul

Where I saw the true you

The you that cooed words of adoration

Desire and understanding

The you who forgot the rules

The laws

The guidelines

The you who dropped it all to spend time

With the true me

The me who cooed words of adoration

Desire and understanding

The me who forgot the rules

The laws

The guidelines
