Love straight from my heart, my reason to write.

From My Heart

For such a long time the well of creativity in my mind ran dry.

Then I met you, and now it’s flooding.

What I didn’t know was that I should stop writing from my head.

You taught me to let my words flow like water, you showed me how to write from my heart.

For the longest time I’ve been deaf,

To the Morse code of my heartbeat.

Then I met you,

And every beat in my chest blew me away.

I was so used to dreaming in black and white.

Then like Van Gogh you brought new color into my world.

The stars and sun seem to shine so much brighter,

But nowhere near as bright as you.

I’ve broken the heartbreak dam on my heart,

Letting all the love I have loose.

Now it’s flooding every single part of me,

Leaving me drowning in our love.

The ink in my pen,

Is replaced by the blood in my veins.

Pumping straight from my heart,

A heart filled with love for you that drives my analytical brain insane.

My princess,

My gorgeous girl,

My partner in crime,

You let me write like never before.

And when I speak,

I no longer have anything to hide,

You can know it all because I am yours,

And you are mine.

I’ll pull up every flower,

Buried in the ground,

To give them to you,

If it made you smile.

You’ve changed my world,

Reshaped it in every way,

Made it mine and yours,

A world we can share.

I’ll hold you close,

For as long as you want me,

I’ll brush the hair out of your face,

And I’ll lose all sense of breathing when I see you.

There’s only one reason I can tell you all this,

It’s you that changed me,

You’ve let my love run free,

You showed me how to write from my heart.

Isn't it beautiful?...wow!!! i mean the depth of this love is deeper than the depth of an ocean... this feels so very honest and passionate... this is how love works i guess... it brings flood... it captures our heart mind and everything... one of the best love poems i have read... full ratings...
