Lit Up By Love

 

Friendship set on fire,

By flames of passion.

It only started with a couple sparks,

Sparks that set my heart ablaze, a heart lit up by love.

 

I was in the dark,

Scared of the things in the shadows.

Then you walked in,

Like the sun rising in the sky, banishing my demons.

 

Your smile’s got electricity surging through my veins,

Because lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice,

It struck me a million times,

Every time you smiled.

 

It could be fate that lead us here,

Some kind of higher power.

Or maybe it was our own hope and wishful thinking,

That led us to each other.

 

Every touch,

Makes my head spin,

Making me overthink every little thing,

Lighting up my mind with thoughts of you.

 

Then there’s the way you light up my day,

Just by walking into the room.

You make everything better just by being there,

Making memories I’ll never forget, you light up my life.
