A poem about a confusing love and having a decision to make.

Crossroads

I’ve tried to follow my road map,

I’ve seen every street sign.

Reading them all, in hopes that I would find,

That I’d find my destined path, the one leading to you.

But now I’ve got a choice,

One I never thought I’d have to make.

And I have to pick the right one,

For my own sake.

Now this interstate,

Has had its twists and turns.

At some points the street even seemed covered in frost,

I think I may have even gotten a little lost, but my destination’s worth it.

I’ve asked for directions,

At every small town on the way here.

And I’ve broken every single speed limit,

Just to arrive faster because those limits don’t define me.

Had a lot of love,

And a lot of laughs too.

Met some interesting people,

But none that compare to you.

And you’re more beautiful,

Than any of these scenic views.

So as every second passed,

My need for you only grew.

So now it’s time,

To take a chance.

To make my choice,

Like I’ve ever actually had a plan.

This trip has been so extraordinary,

But it’s time to reach my goal.

I want to go home,

But home is with you.

Now I’m at a crossroads,

With no clue which way I should go.

I may have to make a few deal with a couple devils,

But I’ll pay any cost, just to find the path on this crossroads that leads to you.
