What You Do To Me

What You Do To Me

A poem about what she does to me, things I've never felt before.

What You Do To Me

I’ve never been shy.

When it came to these types of things.

No I’ve always been a confident guy.

Which is why it’s so hard for me to explain what you do to me.

I never used to get tongue tied.

When I looked into a pretty girl’s eyes.

But now I can hardly speak when mine meet yours.

It’s just what you do to me

My knees never used to shake,

And I never got butterflies,

Before I met you.

It’s just what you do to me.

I never got nervous,

I never understood what it felt like to have ten thousand volts of love run through my veins.

And then you held my hand.

It’s just what you do to me.

My heart never skipped a beat,

And I always got the last word in,

Then you laid your head on my shoulder.

It’s just what you do to me.

So if you have an explanation,

I’d be glad to hear it,

Because I’m losing my mind,

Trying to figure out what you do to me.
