A poem about a very special girl.

Night Sky

 

I can’t get enough of my heartbeat beating in sync to your soft breathing.

The moonlight bouncing off your skin makes me feel like I’m dreaming.

Usually these moments seem to pass so fast.

But tonight time seems to be slowing down for us so let’s not just let it pass.

 

Those stars can’t glow brighter than the ones in your eyes.

Even the sun won’t come up tomorrow because you already outshine the sunrise.

There’s not one out there that could burn hotter than the sparks flying where we touch.

I’ll rise higher above them because being with you is my most addictive drug.

 

I just can’t seem to keep my eyes off of you.

Making my heart skip every other beat proves that you can make a midnight sky seem azure blue.

Your just so heavenly gorgeous.

Like a goddess descending from her clouds above.

 

And that silver disc in the sky simply cannot compare.

To the feeling of running my hand through your hair.

And I could spend all evening long telling you how gorgeous you are.

But it still wouldn’t be enough to get my point across.

 

I’ll hold you in my arms,

And we can watch the auroras dance,

Because meeting a girl like you is a once in a lifetime chance.

One I can’t afford to miss.

 

So I promise to hold you tight on this stormy spring night.

I don’t care who sees us as long as it’s you and me.

Let’s just stay by each other’s side,

Underneath this night sky.
