Open Arms

 

I’ve been waiting for so long

Seasons have gone by

And though I may have wavered in the winter winds

Its spring now and I’ve survived

 

And while I slept

In my frozen hibernation

There’s only one dream that I kept

My dreams of me and you, my only salvation

 

I did everything that I could

To change the locks on my heart

But you’re my master key

I’m ashamed I couldn’t see

 

I just couldn’t see, how much you meant to me

We were always together

And I got so close in the fall

Because I’ve always been there for you

 

So with promises of a better year

It all seems so clear

I’m going to live in the moments we made

So whenever you’re ready I’ll still be here, with open arms waiting to embrace you
