A GameA Poem by SilverwolfA poem about heartbreak, please review and enjoyA GAME I’m just a face, lost in the crowd I’ve never claimed, to be too proud But when you play with my heart Ever so slowly ripping me apart I’m just your toy Here to bring you joy I’ve always been there I’ve always cared But you only want me when there’s no one else And now following you is just hurting myself I’m on my way to a personal apocalypse Trying to love you is making my world darker than an eclipse You lead me on, into your web of lies And then I get too far in, to the point where no one can hear
my cries You take all I can give So that while I wither away in sadness, you continue to
thrive and live I lovingly call you Princess, and Angel, and Snowflake But when the morning comes you only see me as your biggest
mistake So I’ve given up, yes you’ve finally taken it all As I now prepare for my last call You’ve broken my heart, you’ve broken my soul With confidence I tell you that trying to love you has taken
its toll But I promise to rise, never to be misused again You’ve turning a loving man into a living sin Broken and battered I rise from my hell Eyes filled with fire, my soul I was forced to sell Now a creature of anger and pain Your living punching bag has finally gone insane A demon was born on this day One who you created and can never slay So I’ll wait here surrounded my fire and brimstone Till’ the day I find my true lover, the one who will never
let me feel alone So now I hope that you are happy, because now you can
finally claim That you have broken me and won your hellish little game © 2016 Silverwolf |
