Radcliff

As we head home, I can hear the unspoken words, that are ‘What is going on? What are we going to do? What can we do? I think there is something that “mom and dad” are not telling so. Sigh.’ I think of my family crest just because I need something to think about other than what is going on right now. My family crest looks like this: 😈. Yes, it is weird but it has been in my family, well, it has been in my family since the first of my family.

I think about my family and my mission. I think of how many years ago, I got my mission. When I was just a boy, I saw this girl, she was new to this place. I got to talk to her later that day. She said “Who are you?” I said “My name is Radcliff and I have been told to take you to your sleeping place, get you cleaned up, and then show you your way around the place. Please follow me.”

She follows me with this weird look on her face. “So, has your name always been Radcliff?” I say “Yes, do you have anymore questions? She says “Yes, do you have any family here? What is your last name? How long have you been here? How is in charge of this place? What is going to happen to me? Did you ever have any sisters or brothers?”

I say, “1. no family that I know of is here, 2. my last name is Sanem, 3. I have been here for 10 years, 4. The master is in charge and that is what he goes by, 5.You are going to see the master after I am done showing you the way around this place, and 6. I only have on sister that I knew of.”

“What was her name?” Her name was “Richelle.” “That is my name, hello brother. I have known it was you ever since I saw you and I was testing you to see if you remembered anything. And I do know my way around this place, we did live here when we were born.” I was so shocked that I did not see that we had arrived at her sleeping place, I walked into the door and fell right into her arms that were already out and waiting for me to fall. I here her say “You always were the clumsy one of the family.” I just smile and get up out of her arms, open the door and step out of the way to let her in. (end of flashback)

I finsh driving home and I ask “Have you all had dinner yet?” “Yes and no. I had dinner made and was walking into the living room to get the kids when you came in.” I nod my head and say “Well then, lets go eat dinner.” We all walk in the house and start eating dinner after my ‘wife’ heats it up for us. We sit down in our places, then divide the food out evenly and then start eating. As we are eating, I ask the same questions that I always ask: How was school? How is everyone? Is there anything that anyone wants to tell us or ask us about school? And tonight because of what happens, no one anwers me. I am not surpired when the kids offer to clear up the table and put the dishes where they belong. I allow them to, I walk up stairs to my bedroom and fall down the the bed, not sure what to do.

“What are we going to do? What can we do about this mess? This could get out of hand really fast, what i am i saying, it already is out of control.” I sigh and think about telling the leader of what happened, but my sister pulls me out of my thoughts and says what i need to hear desperatly.

“It is not out of control yet, we can get them back. But we are going to have to do everything in our power, without the help of the leader, to keep the others in our hands. We will have to everything we can do, but we can not harm them at all. But first things first, we need to clean up the mess at their school. If we are going to get them back, that is the first thing that we are going to have to do. We can do this, and we will do this. We are the best, know one beats us. We got this. We rock at this. We will surivie, brother, we always do. I know we do. I have faith in us, brother.”
