LiesA Poem by SilverThe mask that saves us from our minds.Y'know when you trust someone You give 'em all they ask But it turns out their true self Was hiding behind a mask All that effort, the time it took Ends up being in vain You just wanted them to be happy But all it did was bring you pain You know it's not your fault You couldn't have guessed that they lied But you wonder what was in their head You're trying to think from their side What could've caused this? Was it all because of you? Do they think you're that bad? Could it really be true? But it may not be the case Think, for your own mental health Maybe they actually liked you And the problem was themselves
