South

A Poem by Silver
"

This is my submission for the Summer poetry contest by maria (rose).

"
A decorated tree at the back of the house
It's summer and we're all waiting for Santa Claus

While everyone's enjoying their beach time
We're wishing we had snow and pines

But it's fine, we also get the Sun
We just wait a little more to have our fun

It's even better, the sight we see
We're already used to the palm trees

So, no matter what, just go with the flow
Because life can be fun wherever you go

Author's Note

Silver
I'm still new to writing, and this is my first time entering a contest. Also, it's not summer where I live, so I'm lacking a little inspiration, so... yeah.

I'm not keeping my hopes up.
