Golden locket

Golden locket

A Poem by Indoe
"

I usually try to make my poems funny but this one is more of a serious/sad poem so i hope you like it.

"

This thing I wear close to my chest

You have been laid down to rest

I won't forget you in my head

I still believe that you aren't dead

I look at this picture everyday

Wondering why i feel this way

I look around but you aren't there

Why don't you visit? Don't you care?

In my mind your here with me

But memories are all I see

The golden locket is just a remain

It helps my heart through the pain

The funeral was just a lie

Only I know you're still alive

You were my one and only love

Please rest in peace up above

You're welcome ☺
I think you should add a little more sensuality by changing the first line to

This object I wear close to my breast
Today you have been laid to rest
Your memory etched within my head

Everyday is an adjective...you mean every day.

If you need more advice, let me know.
