Breeder

Breeder

A Poem by SilverTearRusted

I want to be free not to breed in this sickness and desire
Seduced by the light, let down by the fire
Open wounds from the edge of the razor I cry out
Will anyone hear me if I start to just shout

Stand up and be counted in this game we call life
Breed or don't breed, just lay down the verbal knife
I can't stand when you look at me with pity in your love
I don't need to feel seen, I know that I'm enough

Yet I still keep screaming at the top of my lungs
F**k you to cancer and life and the drugs
Experiences flood the rivers to my eyes
Til I can't see through the crimson bleeding out all the lies

I don't care what you've done or what you've seen
The only thing real is who we will be
I just keep hoping that one day you'll see
That I'm not a breeder... I'm nothing but me
