Enemy

Enemy

A Poem by SilverTearRusted

Enemy, I see you standing at the crossroads, just not sure which way to go... you stumble then rise up, you fall but never give up. I've got mad respect for the perseverance in those limbs, laying lame as a consequence of sin. Unable to move in the shadows of my eyes, because I no longer see you, you're not in my life. But I still remember the way that it burned, when you told me you loved me, then disappeared from my world. I wish I knew what to say or simply how to begin, to turn my enemy back into my friend.
