Electric

Electric

A Poem by SilverTearRusted

There are days when nothing seems right and I wish the world would just melt away.  In those moments, I will lay silently still and think of the way that it feels to be surrounded by arms I know will never let me go.
My eyes are closed, but I see you smile as your breath so hot against my skin, tattoos "I love you" between not so gentle kisses over parts of my body reserved only for you. I gasp for air, your touch electric... and I stay consumed in this desire.
Your mouth on mine is only a memory now, but brought alive by this aching to be felt once again.  My senses remain overwhelmed in the contagiousness of this sweet disease, for which there is no cure… and I smile, eyes still closed… and count each “I love you” until you come back to me.
