The power of writing...
What, for some, is optional, is life and breath to me.
It has been some time since I last wrote a poem. I was pondering life, and considering the places people find comfort.
When all is crumbling around us, we need something to cling on to for support. Writing does that for many. I would imagine in the current climate of covid, that is even more so. Your lines flow smoothly and your meaning is well conveyed. Good work.
I enjoyed reading this. Indeed, reading and writing can get us through so much.
Someone listen to me!
Can no one hear
The bitter weeping of my heart?
Save me from myself.
I am afraid.
This part I found very well written. The silence and solitude can get to people, it drives most mad. Being away from people and unable to express one's self yet wanting to do just that; wanting to be closer to people and express one's self.
In the pith of solitude and the depths of despair, a shadow looks to the empty void of a page and the black heart of the ink to attempt to find the light.
This is amazing, and highly relatable. Good flow, great imagery, grand narrative and message! Well done!
Pages bearing burden, these are our gift to the world, our pain expressed, our pain offered for another to know they are not alone and therefore know we are not alone.
It's amazing what we can accomplish with just a pen and paper. Great job Elina!
