The Gun

The Gun

A Poem by Kristina Bree
"

Very deep... you could say.

"

I watch as the blood drips onto the floor
See your pale face, staring into my eyes
I couldn’t take it anymore
The way you would treat me and cheat on me
Right in front of my eyes

You used to be my world
The only thing that would make my life go ‘round
But now I do not have to worry
I hold the gun in my hand, you know I cant live without you
I put the gun to my head

I think about the life I could have had
If you had not come into my life
My heart does not ache, now that you are gone
My mind does not care that your blood is on my hands
This is the last thought I shall think
As I pull the trigger to end my life

This was an exceptional poem, I agree that it was ridden with raw sadness and deep deep emotions, really nicely done :)

I live in Montana, the very cold state right now, in which snow does not seem to go away. I love the way books sound and make you dissapear into a world not your own and the way poetry makes you think.. more..
