work in progress - The Unwanted ChildA Poem by SilverFishnot sure about this one... just some thoughtsThe unwanted child the innocent black sheep (Slowly poisoned by the clock infected moments, cursed) Hurt herself a little and was a little ill Mother was a statue Father was a fire Unwanted little girl a bird afraid to fly Became a slave to water the rivers and the seas Became an heir to dreams, wishes and false promises Demons of black smoke and ghosts follow her She saw them, she sensed Alone she dwelled, away Scratched the wall Burned her skin (To become pure To be beautiful) Regret, shame, sickness Confused paths and solitude She howled with wolves and spoke with dogs The unwanted child Her wings slowly decaying as she shed her pointless tears and cry for love that wastes her
