In Your Eyes

In Your Eyes

A Poem by The Silver Chord

Ink dripping on the canvas,
Books and parchment strewn all around.
Blue eyes watching,
Looking for place to stay.
Halo hanging sideways,
Bound to be falling for miles.
Home to the hitchhiker,
Just a doorstep away.

During the Day,
During the Night,
During the darkest of days.

Age of the world,
Etched into oblivion.
Blades crashing,
Scarring the flesh in dreams.
Silent prodigy thinking,
Finding the answers to loneliness.
Souls in the night,
Seeking some redemption.

Under God,
Under Man,
Under the Devil himself.

Faces turning all around,
Seeking vengeance in the shadows.
Black and white pictures hanging on the wall,
Reminders of the past we left behind.
Illusions of horror,
Haunting your every thought.

Praying for Rain,
Praying for Blood,
Praying for Absolution.

About
My name is Silver Chord, and I too like to party. Generally I'd like to say that I think way too much. All I ever seem to be doing is thinking, pondering, musing over some random thought or idea. .. more..
