Actions and Motives

Just a little observation I've made of late. Thought it would make a nice narrative

Desperate she seems. Looking for attention, but never receiving it. She pours over the possibilities, but draws a blank. There is only one thing she wants in this world: To be truly loved. Constantly, she plays off that she is happy and is content. The poor creature does not even know how much pity is felt for her. 

He watches from afar, wondering how long it would take for her to notice him. She has overlooked him for so long, its almost like second nature. He wants nothing more than to hold her, but does not want to reveal himself. He has been hurt far too many times to subject himself to more heartache. 

Maybe one day their paths will cross with the right circumstances and the right intentions.
