From the DepthsA Poem by The Silver ChordThe earth falls still and shallow. death infertile and suttle. Lightning binds bile, a torch to tongue. Silent nightmares fill the streets. Houses on a journey, stones wailing in wait. maelstroms, cataclysm of words and images. God watched in silence as we destroyed ourselves. Inevitible they said, only a matter of time. The earth falls dark and empty. A mere shadow of its former self.
