Smile for the Day

I wrote this for a friend of mine. Thought this would make her day. :)

Little Miss, wrapped up in doom and gloom. 

Cheer up Little Bird, the day will get brighter.

People are people, people are stupid.

Why the long face Little Miss?

You're not alone. 

Don't ask why the world is such a bad place.

Just smile and be on your merry way.

Fly away Little Bird.

You have a long way to go from here.

I love to hear the side of the story of someone who is consoling someone because too many poems are about depression, loss or suicide. I think your poem is very sweet and up-lifting. I like it a lot.

Yes people are people and they can be so stupid at time. This poem made me think of my children. Who ask me why people do the things they do? I tell them, lets not worry about it.
