A Poem by The Silver Chord

"Its gotta be perfect," he kept thinking to himself. This odd little man, elbow deep in a mixture of oil paints and black ink, has a project, but not just any project. No, this was a grand architecture of canvas and dreams written in neo-classical Italian sonnets. He spent monthes on his self-proclaimed masterpiece, improving on perfection. All of this... All of this was just one individual, the muse that inspired his piece. It was all for her.

Finally the day arrive that the odd little man finished his work. After a shower, and a change of clothes, he wrapped up his work, and went on his way.

She worked in a local bistro, nothing too impressive, but the little man ate there quite often, mostly just to see her.  With a pleasant smile, and a confident air, he approached his favorite waitress and presented his work to her.

All she could do was smile and cry. Beauty presented to a beauty could never be accomplished so well.

The canvas was mostly white, with a heart-shaped balloon painted on it. Written out in the most eligant handwritting was this:

When our lives are thrown to the wind,

just know I still love you with everything within me.

My name is Silver Chord, and I too like to party. Generally I'd like to say that I think way too much. All I ever seem to be doing is thinking, pondering, musing over some random thought or idea. .. more..
