Testify the Fire

Testify the Fire

A Poem by The Silver Chord

X‡X

Mesmerized, captivated, what the hell is wrong with me?
Possibly a puppet, prodded by a sword and fear.
Psychosis, anticipated dreams of unreal, surreal, unbelievable as they seem.
Finding resolution, absolution, adoration, what the hell am I thinking?
Flicking dust off my shoulders, thinking about why I live like this, tripping over a trail of memories.
Seemlessly, treading down the over-beaten path, smiling like a child.
I believe I found something worth smiling about.
Maybe I have found my resolution, absolution, everything I'm looking for.
I've waited for the world to change, but that will never come.
But I may not be wayward for much longer.
Hope spreads across my body, and all is good with the world.

About
My name is Silver Chord, and I too like to party. Generally I'd like to say that I think way too much. All I ever seem to be doing is thinking, pondering, musing over some random thought or idea. .. more..
