Writer's Fade

Writer's Fade

A Poem by Silver Silence
"

that idea was there, it's gone now

"
inspiration can spoil
but no, not like a rotten apple
that is natural and understandable
more like a poison that blackens it,
that seeps into it's enlightened veins
and turns a once whimsical thought
into darkness and utter devastation
inspiration can vanish
but no, not like a magician's act
with you content on the edge of your seat
more like a lost child
your heart is in your throat
and you're dying to get it back
into a loving embrace
and not to be left alone and hurt
inspiration can twist
but no, not like a twizzler
a tasty unique treat
more like a turn in a mystery novel
that makes you uncomfortable,
for what you predicted would happen
is all wrong,
so now what?
