DoveA Poem by SilvanI didn't even have to sit down and think, the words just filled my mind...Dove By. Silvan Embrace my soul, o’ dearest keep I wait for you as my heart does sleep I ponder thoughts of sanctum divine Wonderous memories enrich my mind A world of serenity beckons my calling Breaking the ice of darkness and folly My dearest dove hath brought me hope Its calling name, my sight in scope And I know that she is mine Thoughts of splendor flash the sky Magic swirl in bright blue eyes My head it swims in clouded haze Fixed upon their softest gaze As they kindle my heart’s fire Beauty is my dove’s true name White and pure, free of shame Burneth the fire in my soul For my dearest dove has filled the hole A world we call home is ours at last Surroundings fade into nearby past Hold my dove, and hold her tight Never let her forget the light Keep her safe in open hand And stay with me, my dove, my lamb © 2018 SilvanAuthor's Note
