As Fire BurnsA Poem by Silvanfirst poem I've done in 3 years. Hopefully I'll get betterAs Fire Burns By Silvan O’ the joy of a bird, mankind hath, For not we feel anger nor wrath. Oer a candle give a dancing flame, To light the path and hide all shame O’ the sound of trumpets shaketh the air, And the shouts of children, pure and fair, Make the night a happy place. But not all the world is better again, The birds, they cry and harmonize in pain. The trees shade the driest grass, Drowning earth with Summer’s pass, But the world keeps on turning. Though a bird sings in fear, It knows its place, and holds it dear. And a man taketh a candle for light, It guides his pace, and make it bright. As fire burns, the world is destroyed, eaten by greed. As fire burns, tainted by evil, the sky becometh gray. As fire burns, it shines in vengeance, and bring forth the way. For as all burns in fire, there will soon be rain. The sun shines, o’ bright and clear, The frogs rejoice in songs of cheer. Night becomes morning and daylight appear, And all that is wrong, shake and quiver For they know that the rain has come. © 2018 SilvanAuthor's Note
