Kousuke's team disperse to get ready to go out for dinner. When they reach Ichiraku Ramen Shop Kousuke is nowhere to be seen, but there is however Kakashi's team.

Kousuke-sensei, Mizuki, Kioko, Midori and Kiki made their way back to the village. It was warm outside with a steady cool breeze and the sun was still in the sky shining brightly. The girls were talking to each other about their mission and were walking a little bit behind their sensei. Kiki was being carried in Midori’s arms.

After a while the girls decided to catch up to Kousuke-sensei. “So…sensei? That was a pretty fun mission right?” Mizuki smiled up at her sensei. “Yeah, it wasn’t bad.” He agreed. “I can’ wait for some of those dangerous missions though! Can you imagine how much fun that’d be? Never knowing when, who, or what might come and attack you would be so suspenseful!” Midori commented excitedly. Kiki pitched in a bark of agreement.

“Hey, Mii-chan! Mii-chan, Mii-chan!” Mizuki chanted. Midori looked at Mizuki “What?” she asked. “Hehe…I dunno.” Mizuki shrugged innocently. Midori blinked and gave her friend a dumb look. Mizuki smiled at her. “Hi.” She giggled. “Come on you two!” Kousuke-sensei called back to them. Mizuki and Midori looked up to see their sensei and Kioko running ahead of them. “Hey! What about us?!” Mizuki and Midori shouted after and ran after them.

After the team arrived back to the village the sky was dyed a light pink as the sun slowly slid down and began to disappear. They agreed to meet at Ichiraku Ramen Shop after making a quick run home to have showers and change into clean clothes and Kousuke-sensei wanted to stop by the Hokage Tower too. “Oh! I call dibs on first in the shower!” Kioko piped up as Midori opened the door to their apartment.

Kioko pushed passed Midori and Mizuki and went straight to her bag. She started to yank out her clothes and a towel, then disappeared into the bathroom. Mizuki crossed her arms “Aw. I was gonna go first!” she complained playfully. “Oh well, you can go next.” Midori giggled as she disappeared into her bedroom to grab some clothes.

She dug out a pair of blue jeans, another long black t-shirt and two blue ribbons for her hair. She brought them out and sat down in the chair. Mizuki already had her clothes picked out and was sitting down on the small couch. “Hey, have you seen Kimiko? She’s not here.” Mizuki asked curiously. “Oh yeah, I don’t know. Maybe she went out for a while.” Midori shrugged.

She almost forgot about the mysterious girl had come back with her from the woods. The bathroom door opened and Kioko came out with a medium-length skirt with turtles embroidered along the bottom and a darker green t-shirt on. Mizuki got up and went into the bathroom to have her shower. Kioko put her other clothes on the couch and went into the kitchen. She came back with a dog treat for Kiki and a cookie in her mouth.

“You know what? I have to go and buy cookies every two days, the way you two love them so much.” Midori sighed with a smirk. Kioko just smiled at her and showed Kiki the treat. Kiki yipped happily and stood up on her hind paws excitedly. Kioko giggled and gave it to her.

After a few minutes Mizuki came out of the shower wearing a dark blue t-shirt and long black jeans. Midori got up and went to have her shower and when she came out Mizuki had her long blue hair down. Kioko and Mizuki smiled at her. “Your leaving your hair down too right?” Mizuki grinned. “Can I use those?” Kioko asked and pointed to the blue ribbons in Midori’s left hand. Midori thought for a minute, debating on their questions. “Please?” they asked in unison.

“Fine.” Midori sighed. “Yay!” Kioko and Mizuki said happily. Kioko used the ribbons in her hair. Kiki ran up to Midori with a light purple ribbon tied on her right ear. “You look all set too.” Midori smiled at the dark brown pup. Kiki yipped happily at her comment. The girls left the apartment and went to the Ramen Shop. Kousuke-sensei was nowhere to be seen. Midori sighed “Guess we gotta wait for him.” She said.

“Midori? Is that you?” a male voice asked in a surprised tone. “Huh?” Midori wondered and turned around. “Naruto! That’s rude!” she heard Sakura’s voice scolding Naruto. “Ahh, sorry!” Naruto apologized and backed away from Sakura’s raised fist. “Hey look! It’s Kakashi’s team!” Mizuki waved at them. “Hiya!” Kioko greeted.

“See! It is Midori!” Naruto smiled at her, still trying to avoid Sakura’s fist. “Yeah, it’s me.” Midori smiled at him. “Sakura, leave the idiot alone.” She giggled. “Moron.” Midori heard someone murmur. Midori rolled her eyes. “Hi Sasuke” she sighed. Sasuke had been quietly sitting on one of the stools so Midori hadn’t even noticed he was there.

“So, what are you guys doing here?” Mizuki asked. “Waiting for Kakashi-sensei to get here. He’s always late.” Sakura said irritably. “What are you guys doin’ here?” Naruto returned the question. “Same as you, but for Kousuke-sensei.” Kioko replied. “We can wait together then.” Sakura suggested. ‘But stay away from my Sasuke!’ Midori guessed the only thought that could cross Sakura’s narrow mind. “Sure!” Midori, Kioko and Mizuki accepted.

Sakura sat down beside Sasuke at the right side of the table, Naruto beside Sakura, Midori between Mizuki and Naruto, and Kioko sat beside Mizuki. “I barely recognized you with your hair down Midori. It uh…looks good on you.” Naruto commented with a light blush and out of habit his hand went up and scratched the back of his head nervously. Midori smiled at him. “Thanks Naruto. It was Mizuki and Kioko’s idea.” Midori said thoughtfully.

“It looks great Midori. I like your hair too Mizuki. It’s such a pretty color and its so long.” Sakura put in. Thanks Sakura.” Mizuki grinned. “I got ribbons in mine!” Kioko piped up. “They look good on you too, Kioko.” Sakura nodded. The young girl that works at Ichiraku came out of a room and stepped up to the counter. “Can I get you anything?” she asked with a smile. “No, it’s okay. We’re waiting for our sensei’s.” Mizuki said. “Alright, just let me know when you want to order” the girl smiled and glanced over at Midori and Naruto.

She smiled brightly. “Another date? This time with friends” she asked curiously. Naruto and Midori looked up in surprise by her question. Midori and Naruto exchanged a weird look and the others looked at them puzzledly. “No, just being friends” Midori smiled calmly, although she was thinking ‘Oh great, more dumb questions.’ Even Sasuke had leaned over the counter to look at Midori and Naruto.
