New Friends

The grand entrance of two young girls from different countries occurs shortly after Midori finally gets a grasp on the clone jutsu. Mizuki Hisakata and Kioko Aye take their part in the Konoha story with their curious attributes.

Midori skipped her lessons with Sakura and she was being taught the shadow clone jutsu. "Alright! Do as I do." Naruto nodded and went into a fighting stance. He put his hands together. "Ram. Snake. Tiger." he said, naming each hand sign he made. Midori mirrored his movements. Naruto repeated the signs slowly, then got faster and faster each time. "Ram... snake... tiger. Ram.. snake.. tiger. Ram. Snake. Tiger. Ramsnaketiger." Midori matched his handsigns almost exactly. Then they stopped. "Okay, now that you got that down, gather your chakra and concentrate. Don't put too much chakra into it though, or you'll just be wasting it." Naruto said. Midori nodded and closed her eyes. "Match your hand signs with your chakra." he instructed.
 

The two went on like this for an hour and a half. Midori's first clones certainly weren't the greatest. Another hour later and Midori attempted her best clones. "Shadow clone jutsu!" at her words she seemed to multiply and the tree's were filled with Midori clones. They were perfect look alikes. Perfect clones. "You've got it Midori. I told ya, with me as your sensei you'd be an expert in no time! Believe it!" Naruto said loud and proud. "Yeah, yeah." the Midori's all said in unision. Then, all but one Midori disapppeared in a puff of smoke. "Wahoo! Yay!" Midori said excitedly. She hugged Naruto out of nowhere. "I'm bound to pass my exam, thanks to you!" Midori smiled. Naruto was surprised by her sudden outburst.
 

"Yo-your welcome Midori." he said. He looked away from her and blushed. "Aww, how cute." Midori giggled. She pulled him back into the grass with her, then let go. For some reason, she felt suddenly hyper and happy. A feeling she hadn't really felt for a very long time. Midori sighed and stared at the clouds in the sky. Naruto was still staring at her. "You know what? Your really cool Midori. At least when your not looking like your gonna kill someone..." Naruto said, adjusting his headband.

 

Midori raised an eyebrow and looked at him. "Oh really?" she smirked. She sat up, pulled up some grass and threw it in his face. " 'Cause ya know, I'm sooo evil." she laughed. "Hey!" Naruto sat up and brushed off the grass. "Sometimes I wonder..." he murmered quietly. "Hmph! I heard that 'Kyuubi!' " she growled at him playfully.
 

"Heh, Midori, now you didn't strike me as the 'flirtatious' type." someone said. Midori stopped smiling. She and Naruto looked around to see who it was. "Grr, Shikamaru! Shouldn't you be sleeping somewhere?" Naruto grumbled. "What do you want?" Midori asked coldly. "Hm... troublesome women." Shikamaru shook his head and walked up to Midori and Naruto. "I'll show you troublesome." Midori growled. Shikamaru stared at her with surprise. "Hello? I'm still here!" Naruto piped up. "Shut up Naruto." Shikamaru said dully. "Well aren't you intimidating." Midori smirked at Shikamaru sarcastically. "Don't worry, I'm not here to argue. I was actually hoping you'd take two girls so they can stop annoying me." Shikamaru shrugged.
 

As if on cue two girls jumped down from the tree's by Shikamaru. One was really short, wearing a green vest, brown boots and a green skirt. She had deep red hair. Beside the short girl there stood another that was slightly taller than Midori with long blue hair. She wore a matching blue and white skirt and a top with a red sash around her waist. Midori gave them each a weird look.

 

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki! I'm gonna be the fifth Hokage of Konoha!" Naruto announced proudly, then added, "Believe it!" Midori rolled her eyes and stood up. "I'm Midori Hamatiko." Midori said in greeting. "I'm Kioko Aye of the Sand Village." The short green girl greeted cheerfully. "And I'm Mizuki Hisakata of the Wave Village." the taller girl said. Midori blinked. "So your from different villages?" Midori asked. "Yep! We met once before and have been friends ever since!" Mizuki piped up cheerfully.
 

The two girls beamed and wrapped their arms with Shikamaru's. "Gah! You two are troublesome and so annoying!" Shikamaru groaned. "Alright, but you owe me one!" Midori smirked at him slyly. "Anything." he agreed. He yanked his arms away from them and hastily disappeared. There was silence, then Naruto spoke. "So girls? Midori's done training with me I think." he smiled and looked at Midori. She shrugged. "I guess." she agreed. "So where are we goin?!" the other girls asked in unision. Midori smirked. "Well do you guys have a place to stay?" she asked. "Nope!" Kioko grinned. Midori raised her eyebrows disbelievingly "Are you serious?" "Yup!" they answered. Midori exchanged a glance with Naruto. "Fine." she mumbled. "You can stay with me." she nodded. "Yay! That'll be soo much fun!" Kioko squeaked and both of them jumped on Midori. "Whoah, too many happy pills!" Midori laughed. Midori's first impression of the two girls was that they were both air heads.
 

Midori, Kioko and Mizuki said goodbye to Naruto then headed to her house. Midori thought the two girls were crazy because of how hyper and random they were. Just on the walk home they managed to talk about a million other things. Finally they reached the house and they went inside. "Wow, its nice here." Kioko said and sat down on the couch. Suddenly there was barking and a brown puppy limped rapidly out of Midori's room. "Kiki!" Midori smiled and picked her up. "Oh my god! What a cute puppy!" Kioko and Mizuki gasped. Mizuki pet Kiki and moments later so did Kioko. "What happened to her?" Mizuki asked. "Long story..." Midori repled meekly.
