Sasuke taught Midori how to throw and use her weapons affectively. Often times he'd come up behind her to show her better of each stance. They trained for hours, Kiki was fast asleep under the cherry blossom tree. The sun slowly dipped into darkness. The light of the moon was vibrant and the stars shone brightly as the night wore on. Finally, Sasuke spoke "That's enough for one day, Midori." he said with a nod. Midori nodded back and went over to the beautiful tree and lay beneath it, staring at the sparkling stars. "Aren't you leaving?" Sasuke asked. "No." Midori answered absently. "Come over and just relax. Your so suspicious when you stay in the shadows." Midori invited him. Surprisingly, Sasuke thought briefly, then lay beside Midori.
They were temporarily silent, then Midori broke the silence "I was wondering. There's more to you than what meets the eye. I just know it. So why is it you have no curfew or anything?" Midori asked cautiously. Sasuke didn't look at her. "My parents were also murdered." he began darkly. Midori wasn't surprised. "Except it was my brother who killed them. My own brother! The day he did it, I vowed my revenge." He continued. "If he killed your parents why are you still here?" she asked. Sasuke clenched his fists "Because I was too weak. He said that our parents were a test of strength, and I wasn't." Sasuke's eyes sparkled with hatred.
Midori thought back to her parents. "I swore revenge on the man who killed my parents too. But I don't know who he was. I think that if I get strong enough, he'll come back for me. Just like he said." Midori sat up suddenly when the man's eyes appeared in her mind. Sasuke sat up too in confusion. Midori's eyes were wide with a mix of little fear and overwhelming hate. Her arms crossed and she held herself when she started to tremble. Midori felt cold and heavy. She gasped at the sudden warm feeling of Sasuke's arms around her. His body was warm and soothing for some reason. Midori slowly stopped shaking and leaned on Sasuke's chest.
"I can't do much now, but I'll get stronger. When I do, I'll help you get your revenge too Sasuke." Midori promised. "He had glowing red eyes. 'Grow strong. Be filled by hate. Eventually your life will be mine alone.'" she echoed his words. Sasuke suddenly put his hands on her shoulders and turned her to face him. He looked her in the eyes. "Red eyes? I must know! Did they look like this?" Sasuke asked rather urgently. He closed his eyes for a moment "Sharingan" he opened his eyes and they looked very similar, but the man's was cold and bloodthirsty. Midori pulled away from Sasuke "Wha-what is that?" she demanded.
Kiki woke up and started to bark. Sasuke let go of her and stood up. He punched the ground, leaving a small crater around his fist. "That was an Uchiha who killed you parents. My brother!" Sasuke hissed angrily. "Itachi will pay!" he vowed. "He's managed to make both of us suffer." Sasuke's eyes were aflame with hate. 'And he's not done with either of us?' Midori thought. Midori wrapped her arms around Sasuke. "Then we'll both get our revenge some day." she assured him. Kiki had stopped barking now and was silent. "We'll fight him together. We're not alone anymore." Midori said. After both Sasuke and Midori calmed down, Sasuke decided to walk her home, then left her with Kiki.
