Meet the Team

"

Just as the title suggests, Midori's days as a ninja to-be begins with a simple morning with a not-so-simple atmosphere.

"

Midori woke up the next day sleepily. She rolled over to look at the clock on her night stand. It was 9:30am. Midori rolled her eyes and got out of bed. Taking her time, she changed into her new clothes and brushed her long hair. She was just putting her last ribbon in her hair when there was a knock at the door.

Midori walked out of her bathroom holding her hair in a fist so she didn't have to gather it up again and opened her door. Midori noticed a boy dressed in dark blue and pale shorts on the other side of her door. She glared at him "Who are you?" she asked rather impolitely. "Sasuke Uchiha. Lets go so we're not any later for training. I was sent to pick you up." Sasuke answered her, returning her fierce stare. Midori finished tying the ribbon in her hair.

She remembered Kakashi's words, but she didn't think it'd be training. Midori quickly grabbed her key and put it in her pocket. "Alright, lets go." Midori said as she closed the door.
The walk to the training grounds was a silent one. Sasuke didn't speak a word and nor did Midori. Soon they arrived at a clearing surrounded by tree's and there were dummies set up. She immediately recognized Kakashi, but there was a pink-haired girl with red clothes and a blond boy with orange clothes who were with him.

"Ahh, Midori, so you've arrived." Kakashi greeted her cheerfully. "Oh, Sasuke! You're back!" the girl said excitedly. Midori watched Sasuke ignore the girl and lean against a tree. "Well Midori, time for you to meet the team." Kakashi smiled and shouldered in the direction of the other kids who looked about Midori's age. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki! And one day I'm going to be Hokage of Konoha!" the boy in orange spoke first. "I'm Sakura Haruno." the girl spoke up. "And this is Sasuke Uchiha." Sakura introduced Sasuke. "Midori Hamatiko" Midori mumbled. "Good. Now that we're all acquainted, I guess they should know why your here."

Kakashi nodded to Midori. "Midori here, has suffered from the slaughter of her parents. She lives here now, so she will become a ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village. Consider teaching her as...training for yourself." Kakashi smiled at the others. Sakura looked at Midori "I'm so sorry about your parents." she murmured. "I don't need another's pity!" Midori snapped angrily. She stared at Sakura coldly, then she looked at Naruto who said nothing, then to Sasuke who appeared to have his attention turned on her. "Calm down Midori." Kakashi said. Midori clenched her fists, then looked away from Sasuke. "I don't need anyones pity!" she repeated in a mumble this time.

"Alright. I guess you should train with Naruto now, then Sakura, then Sasuke. I'll leave it to you all to get Midori everything she needs." Kakashi said, then disappeared. *Great* Midori thought. She was now alone with three people she didn't know who were bound to think she was an idiot. Midori sighed deeply, then spoke. "Alright. To start, what's a Hokage? And what do I need to be a ninja?" she ignored the funny looks she got.

"A Hokage is the best ninja of the villages. He is the highest ranked ninja. There are five of these types of ninja who have their own ninja village. These are called Hidden Leaf Village, thats us, Hidden Sand Village, Hidden Mist Village, Hidden Waterfall Village, and Hidden Sound Village." the orange boy, Naruto spoke up with laughter in his voice. "And I'm going to become the Sixth Hokage of Hidden Leaf Village! Believe it!" Midori nodded her head, but said nothing. "Um..lets see.." Sakura spoke this time. "Your going to need a weapons pouch, some weapons, and I guess thats about it for now." Sakura said thoughtfully. Midori had sat down in the grass when Naruto had started talking.

She noticed Sasuke move away from the tree and stood in front of her. She looked up at him questioningly. "I'll take her to get her weapons and pouch." Sasuke said rather darkly. Midori glared up at him, got up and brushed off her clothes. "I'll come with you Sasuke!" Sakura said hopefully. "No, stay here and train." Sasuke didn't even look at Sakura as he said this. His gaze seemed locked on Midori. Midori held Sasuke's gaze unblinkingly. "Aw..okay." she heard Sakura mumble in disappointment. Sasuke grabbed Midori's hand and dragged her with him into the village.
